Welcome back - it's been a while

The welcome return of live action at the start of June heralded the arrival of a new force in the Topstipter stable – TheBestEOffer. Averaging ten tips per day – some win-only, others each-way – TheBestEOffer quickly caught the eye with a sequence of profitable days. It all added up to a 97.50-point June yield, one of the best first-month returns in Toptipsters’ history.

The strike-rate was an extremely healthy one – 32%. More than two thirds of selections finished in the first three; losing runs were modest and a 29% return on investment was earned.

Such a performance deserves a closer look. TheBestEoffer’s first selection was a winner, Cheng Gong (6/1, Wolverhampton, 9 June). The next eight days yielded a few winners, but the bombardment of the bookies began in earnest on 18 June with a 17-point yield and continued over the next six days with daily gains of 16, 28, 26 and 45 points. The one day of loss during this intense period was 22 June when luck was against the tipster; seven of the day’s ten advices conspired to finish second or third.  Overall, 56 selections were given between 18 and 24 June with 21 of them obliging (37.50 strike-rate). Winners included 14/1 Haveoneyourself (Windsor, 24 June), 7/1 Lyrical (Newmarket, 18 June) and two 5/1 shots, In The Red (Kempton, 21 June) and Laws of Indices (Navan, 23 June).

A1 Advice also made the best possible start to June with a 25/1 winner, Zodiakos (Newcastle, 1 June). Although there were no further fireworks, AI Advice still ended June with a massive 55.08-point yield, offsetting loses gained earlier in the year.

Winagainwinners, a service that specialises in last time out winners with more to give, also joined the fray in June. Agonisingly, the first two selections finished second, but July began with a winner – Harry George (15/8, Musselburgh, 1 July).

Three well-established services, LB Tipsterr, The Numbers and Pinpoint also returned to action last month. The first named began well with four winners from their first seven selections. As for The Numbers and Pinpoint, a frustrating number of near-misses marked their respective returns.
