Two of the newer services in the Toptipster challenge, SaffronRacing.co.uk and Racing Connections, fought out a tight finish for March honours. Saffron prevailed with a 31.89 yield, just 2.64 points clear of the runner-up. Peter James claimed third position with a 14.33point profit with Leisure Sports Services finishing fourth.

SaffronRacing.co.uk joined Toptipsters three weeks into the month, but a sequence of nine winners from 16 selections ensured the newcomers snatched pole position at the death. The winning haul included 8/1 advice Alben Star (Lingfield, 25 March) and the month ended with five winners and a second from eight selections over the last four days.

A similarly late debut proved to be no kind of handicap for Racing Connections whose first set of Toptipster results included a winning 16/1 advice – Ice Age (Kempton, 26 March) – along with 6/1 and 11/2 strikes and an overall March ROI of 162.50%.

Peter James secured a seventh month of profit out of ten thanks to a 23% strike-rate with winners of the calibre of 13/2 advice Bryden Boy (Bangor, 2 March).

Leisure Sports Services have made a robust start to life with Toptipsters, posting profits in February and March. And April has begun in similar vein, thanks to 20/1 advice Roudee, successful at Doncaster (3 April).

IKnowtheloser Premium, Home Straight and Colwyn Racing also enjoyed a profitable March. Three months into the year, Sprint Specialist head the overall table with a 119.05point profit with EachWay Accas second on 94.29points.
