Strong finish secures November gold for Winagainwinners

Published: 04/12/2020

With a 44% strike-rate, Winagainwinners registered a welcome November profit. If followed a narrow loss in October, when a number of selections were narrowly denied – thus extinguishing any chance of a positive return.

Happily, November’s figures made much better reading – a 44% strike-rate – and a slim 0.41-point profit. But that summary tells only part of the story. Six of Winagainwinners last nine November selections prevailed adding up to a 45% return on investment during the period last 17 days of the month.

Winners during this period included three 5/2 chances: Good Effort (Lingfield, 14 November), Ustath (Southwell, 17 November) and Catchmeifyoucan (Doncaster, 27 November). However, the month’s best return cam on 11 November when Razor Glass triumphed at Kempton Park.

After October’s magnificent 103-point yield, November came as an anti-climax for A1Advice, who registered a 24.2-point loss. Once again, the bald figures are misleading: with six days to go, A1Advice were showing a useful profit, but this was wiped out by a sequence of losing selections. Earlier the afterglow of October’s success was evident in winners of the calibre of 22/1 River Dawn (Kempton, 2 November), 16/1 Youngnedofthehill (Navan, 5 November), 9/1 Native Robin (Wincanton, 19 November) and 8/1 Obtuse (Lingfield, 25 November).
