John's Value Selections continue to torment the bookies

Published: 08/09/2018

To show that July’s table-topping 257-point haul was no flash-in-the-pan, John’s Value Selections posted another huge profit in August – this time to the tune of 275.50 points. Runners-up were Early Price Profits, whose 152-point yield increases their lead at the top of the 2018 Toptipsters table to more than 300 points.

In what was a memorable month, Tony Mc Racing and The Info Line both posted personal best tallies of 93.81 and 83.77 points, to earn third and fourth places in the August listings and there were also profits for AB-Tips, Sprint Specialiser, Trade The Prices, Tip Top Tips and Sandbets.

John’s Value Selections are in irrepressible form at present, having earned more than 636 points since the start of July. August’s 275 points were acquired with a win-strike-rate of less than 10%, meaning that the winners were indeed ‘value selections’. There were also a large number of each-way selections that finished in the money. Eight of the month’s winning selections recorded prices of 14/1 and above including 33/1 Stringybark Creek (Nottingham, 2 August), 28/1 Polished Rock (Southwell, 19 August) and 20/1 Constant (Yarmouth, 19 August).

The good form has been extended into September with the first five days action producing a further 100-point profit with one 33/1 winner – Kenya (the Curragh, 1 September) - already in the bag.

In 2016 and again last year, Early Price Profits came second in the overall Toptipsters’ listings. This year, however, this ultra-consistent service sits in a lofty position, more than 300 points clear of the second-placed service, Sprint Specialiser. August was a typically strong month with a profit of 152.07 points. This was the eleventh month of profit in a 12-month sequence broken only by a minor slip-up in June. During this time a profit of over 992 points has been won. That’s an average monthly gain of 82.69 points; surely there is no tipping service in better shape?

August’s bounty included two big-priced winners at Yorkshire tracks: 22/1 Racquet (Thirsk, 20 August) and 16/1 Andok (Redcar, 1 August). The win-strike-rate was an excellent 17.51% considering the price of selections averages around 9/1.

Tony Mc Racing’s 93.81-point August yield was this particular service’s best monthly return since joining Toptipsters in May 2017. Averaging around three selections a day, Tony Mc Racing advises both win-only and each-way bets. August’s profit was earned in a steady arc, helped along the way by 16/1 Grow Nasa Grow (Market Rasen 18 August) and 12/1 (sp) Here And Now (York, 22 August).

Like Tony Mc Racing, The Info Line enjoyed their best showing in ten months with Toptipsters. An 83.77-point August profit with a return on investment of 76% included the 20/1 success of Gifted Master in the Stewards’ Cup at Goodwood (4 August) and 8/1 Archi’s Affaire at Hamilton on the last day of the month.

Back in April, AB Tips registered a 234-point profit. They were then 30 points clear at the top of the overall table. After three quiet months, they bounced back in August with a 62.37-point yield with winners at 12/1, 11/1 and 10s.

After a shaky start to 2018, Sprint Specialiser are back on track. August’s 39.89-point profit was the fifth consecutive month of growth. Trade The Prices continued their steady progress with a 34.83-point profit while Tip Top Tips (23.58 points) made it five winning months out of seven.

Sandbets, who finished fourth last year, are occupying the same position this time around; a 16.38-point gain sent their 2018 profits up to 163.90 points.

Finally, welcome to four new Toptipsters’ services, Steve’s System, The Winning Edge, DH Racing and Slybet Tipping Services. We wish them all well and will follow their progress with a keen eye.
