I have been successfully investing on the outcome of horse races for many years, as a result of over half a century of obsessively acquired knowledge and experience (my first bet as an 8yo was on Honey End which finished second in Foinavon’s National in 1967). I have done this by identifying horses which, in my opinion, are offered at prices higher than they should be - ie identifying value bets. I aim to identify flaws in the bookmakers’ and the general public’s opinions, enough times to turn a profit. I focus mainly on races that appear on terrestrial TV, because the racing is good class, the form is solid and most horses are trying to win.
